Some sessions feel extra special — and this one filled my heart.

Ryan and Jill Brigham (along with their pup, Odie) met me at Luton Park to document the beginning of their greatest adventure yet: announcing their pregnancy with their first baby. The trails were peaceful, the light filtered softly through the trees, and everything about the morning felt calm and full of anticipation — the kind of stillness that comes before something big, and exciting!

Then came the moment we had all been waiting for — the grand reveal of their baby’s gender!

Watching them celebrate their daughter was such a gift. The smiles were immediate and unfiltered. The laughter came easily. You could see their dreams shifting in real time as they imagined bows, tiny shoes, and the personality she’ll bring into their home.

Odie, of course, is already preparing for his big brother duties — and I have no doubt he’ll take them very seriously.

What makes this story even sweeter is that Ryan and Jill are dear friends of ours. We had babies within the same year, which means we’re stepping into this new season of parenthood side by side. There is something so comforting about walking through the unknown with people you love — sharing milestones, sending late-night “is this normal?” texts, celebrating first smiles and first holidays together. It makes the journey feel less overwhelming and so much more joyful.

Ryan & Jill, your little girl is already surrounded by so much love. It was such an honor to document this chapter for you — the beginning of your story as mom and dad!
